Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage

You know that you’re responsible; but sometimes – oftentimes, you have to also watch out for the “other guy”.  You may be protected, but he/she might not be.  That’s why there is Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage.  It protects you, members of your household, and your passengers in an accident with a motorist who has no insurance or is underinsured.  Uninsured Motorist protection also covers you if you’re injured by a hit-and-run driver.  It applies to you and the members of your household if you or they are injred as a pedestrian.  Coverage includes payment of medical costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.

Experts say that as many as 23% of the drivers on the road in Washington State are driving uninsured.  That figure is astounding!  Make sure you and your family are covered.  Contact the Erik Dyrland Agency in Bellingham to develop a Farmers Insurance program that is right for your needs.

Erik Dyrland, Farmers Insurance Agent, makes generous contribution to Boys & Girls Clubs

Erik Dyrland, Farmers Insurance Agent in Bellingham, made a generous contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County. Dyrland, who has served on the Corporate Board of the organization for over a decade, when asked “Why the Boys & Girls Clubs?”, found the answer quite easy. “It’s a safe place for kids. Now especially, as times are more difficult for parents, there are fewer opportunities for kids to be involved in positive activities. There is outstanding leadership at the Clubs, programs are well organized, and it is a place where kids can go after school and remain out of trouble.” Dyrland closed by saying, “What better investment is there in our future than to empower our kids into becoming outstanding young adults?”
