In Sunday’s Bellingham Herald, I was intrigued by Dave Gallaher’s Biz Talk column and particularly the report from Gragg Miller of Coldwell Banker Miller-Arnason on the state of local real estate. As a home owner (and former banker who did lending), the report caught my eye. I would encourage you to view Miller’s informative report. It reminds us that we shouldn’t listen to real estate sales statistics quoted by the media on a national level and apply them locally. Miller does a good job of clarifying what has happened over the first 6 months of 2008 in Whatcom County. You can find the link on the Bellingham Herald Website.
We at Famers Insurance – Erik Dyrland Agency – remind you to annually have a review of your homeowners insurance done. Make sure your home is insured for the current replacement value – not for the purchase price of 5 years ago for instance.
